Welcome to the FAT Tire Triathlon. This off-road race takes place in the beautiful northwoods of Wisconsin, home of the Midwest’s premiere mountain biking trail system known as CAMBA.
One of the largest off-road triathlons in the country, the race originally took place at Telemark Pointe, a Telemark Resort property 9 miles east of the former destination resort. After a several-year recess the race returned in 2016 to a new venue in Seeley, Wisconsin. As predicted, participants in 2016 were over-the-top enthused just as they were in previous years.
The race delivers a truly unique experience. Beautiful lake, scenic trails, varied and challenging terrain — all hosted in nature’s playground around Seeley, Wisconsin.
The race site is Silverthorn Park on the scenic shores of Silverthorn Lake 11 miles north of Hayward, Wisconsin on US Hwy 63 (map to the race site here). The bike and run are staged on the popular Seeley Hills trail system.
